These terms and conditions ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Lettzio ("we", "us", "our") and apply to the Lettzio website and mobile apps (together, "Lettzio"). Please read them carefully. By creating an account or using Lettzio you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use Lettzio.
1. What Lettzio is
Lettzio is an online marketplace where property owners and their authorised representatives ("Owners") list homes, rooms, hostels and short stays in Pakistan, and people looking for a place ("Tenants") find them and contact Owners.
Lettzio is not a party to any rental agreement. We are not a landlord, estate agent, broker or property manager. We do not own, inspect, manage or guarantee any property, and we do not collect rent or deposits. Any agreement to rent is made directly between the Owner and the Tenant, and they alone are responsible for it.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract.
- Give accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date.
- Keep your password secret. You are responsible for everything done through your account. Tell us straight away at lettziosupport@gmail.com if you think someone else has used it.
- One person may hold only one account, unless we agree otherwise. Accounts may not be sold or transferred.
- We may ask you to confirm your email address, and we may ask Owners to verify their identity before their listings are shown.
3. Rules for Owners
When you list a property, you confirm that:
- you own the property or have the legal right to rent it out, and you will show proof if we ask;
- the listing is accurate and complete, including the price, deposit, charges, location, rooms, amenities and availability, and you will keep it up to date;
- the photos are of the actual property and you have the right to use them;
- the property is safe to live in and renting it does not break any law, lease, housing society rule or agreement;
- you will not ask Tenants for money before they have had a fair chance to view the property; and
- you will not discriminate against anyone unlawfully.
We review listings and may ask for changes, reject a listing, or hide or remove it at any time, for example if it looks inaccurate, duplicated, fraudulent or in breach of these Terms.
4. Rules for Tenants
- Use Lettzio only to look for a place you genuinely want to rent.
- Treat Owners and their property with respect, and arrive on time for viewings you arrange.
- Visit a property in person and check the Owner's identity and right to rent before you pay anything. Read any rental agreement carefully before you sign it.
5. Things no one may do
You must not:
- post false, misleading, duplicated or fraudulent listings, reviews or information;
- impersonate any person or business, or misrepresent your connection with them;
- harass, threaten, abuse or discriminate against anyone;
- send spam, chain messages or unsolicited advertising;
- use Lettzio to take payments for a property you do not have the right to rent, or for any scam;
- move a conversation off Lettzio in order to avoid our fees or our safety checks;
- share another person's personal information without their permission;
- upload anything illegal, obscene, hateful or infringing, or any virus or harmful code;
- scrape, copy or collect data from Lettzio by automated means, or try to break, overload or bypass the security of Lettzio; or
- use Lettzio in any way that breaks the law of Pakistan or any other law that applies to you.
6. Messages
Messages help Tenants and Owners arrange viewings and agree terms. Keep conversations on Lettzio: it helps you keep a record and lets us help if something goes wrong. We may review messages when investigating a report, a safety concern or a breach of these Terms, and we may remove messages or limit messaging to protect members.
7. Plans, listing passes and payments
- Owner plans and listing passes make listings visible for the period and number of listings shown when you buy them. Tenant plans let you start conversations with the number of Owners shown when you buy them. Free trials, where offered, last for the period stated.
- Prices are shown in Pakistani rupees (Rs) and include any taxes stated at checkout.
- You pay by the methods shown at checkout, such as bank transfer or mobile wallet. A plan becomes active once we have confirmed your payment. Always include the payment reference we give you, and keep your receipt.
- Plans do not renew automatically. When a plan ends, the features it unlocked end too, unless you buy a new one.
- Fees are not refundable, except where we cannot activate a plan you have paid for, where we cancel a plan for a reason that is not your fault, or where the law requires a refund. If we remove a listing or close an account because of a breach of these Terms, no refund is due.
- If you think you have been charged wrongly, contact us within 14 days at lettziosupport@gmail.com and we will look into it.
- We may change prices and plans in the future. Changes will not affect a plan you have already paid for.
8. Rent, deposits and the rental agreement
Lettzio does not collect, hold or pass on rent, deposits or any other money between Owners and Tenants, and is not responsible for them. The terms of any rental, including rent, deposit, notice, repairs and the condition of the property, are agreed between the Owner and the Tenant. Any disagreement between them must be settled between them; we may try to help, but we have no obligation to.
9. Reviews
Reviews must be honest and based on your own experience. We may remove reviews that break these Terms, but we do not check every review and we do not endorse the views in them.
10. Your content
You keep ownership of the listings, photos, reviews and messages you post ("your content"). You give Lettzio a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, display, resize and adapt your content, and to use listing content to promote the listing and Lettzio, for as long as it is on Lettzio and for a reasonable time afterwards. You confirm that you have the rights needed to give us this licence and that your content does not break anyone's rights.
11. Our content
Lettzio, including its name, logo, design, software and text (other than members' content), belongs to us or our licensors. You may use Lettzio only for its intended purpose and may not copy, sell or reuse any part of it without our written permission.
12. Reporting and safety
If you see a listing, message or member that breaks these Terms or looks like a scam, report it using the Report option or contact us. We may remove content, limit features, suspend or close accounts, and share information with the authorities where the law requires it or where we believe someone is at risk.
13. Suspension and closing your account
You may stop using Lettzio at any time and may ask us to close your account at lettziosupport@gmail.com. We may suspend or close your account, or remove your listings, without notice if you break these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if we reasonably believe your use puts other members or Lettzio at risk. Sections 8, 10, 14, 15 and 17 continue to apply after your account is closed.
14. Disclaimers
Lettzio is provided "as is" and "as available". We work hard to keep it accurate and running, but we do not promise that it will always be available or free of errors. We do not check, and are not responsible for, the accuracy of listings, the condition, safety or legality of any property, or the conduct of any member, whether on or off Lettzio. Identity verification only confirms that an Owner submitted documents that passed our checks; it is not a guarantee of who they are or of their right to rent.
15. Limit of our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Lettzio and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any loss of money, rent, deposit, data, profit or opportunity arising from your use of Lettzio, from any property, or from any dealings between members. Where we are liable, our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the 6 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
16. Indemnity
You agree to compensate Lettzio for any claims, losses and reasonable costs (including legal fees) that arise from your content, your listings, your dealings with other members or your breach of these Terms.
17. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. Before starting any legal claim, please contact us at lettziosupport@gmail.com so we can try to resolve the problem. Any dispute that cannot be resolved this way will be decided by the courts of Pakistan.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If we make important changes, we will tell you in the app, on the website or by email before they apply. If you continue to use Lettzio after the changes apply, you accept the new Terms.
19. General
If any part of these Terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later. These Terms and our Privacy policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Lettzio.
